Wouldn't mind Moder playing CB Wednesday, it's about time he was tried there purely for match day back up purposes if needed.
To me he just looks like he could handle it and if it goes tits up it's not the end of the world,I just think Moder is a quality player we're not using to our advantage as much as we could, he's far to good to be warming the bench every week imo.

Steele
Lamptey
JPVH
Moder
Estupinan
Wieffer
Hinshelwood
Encisco
Mitoma
Andringa
Ferguson

Wasn’t it about 3/4 weeks ago that there was talk about March being close to being involved match day….i had hoped he would be on the bench for the cup game….gone backwards?
I think there was a comment (from Hurzeler?) along the lines of 'recovery from injury is not linear'. Which I translated as 'he's had a set back'.
Hope it;s nothing serious as it will be great to see him back if and when he's ready. But no point in rushing after he's been out for so long right?

I've got a theory that we should go full on first XI for this one and sack off the game at Anfield. But FH is never going to do that.

-------------Steele
Lamptey Van Hecke Igor Kadioglu
----------Baleba Hinsh
-------Gruda Enciso Adingra
------------Ferguson
It's that but Verbruggen in goal, Steele in the stands for me. Possibly also Estupiñan at left back rather than Kadioglu but it's got to be full strength. Nothing silly like playing Steele or March. Stick with the first team.

Yeah I think that's a really good idea. One of our quicker players. Could definitely be useful

It was only 3 weeks ago that he played the first 20 mins for the U21s before being replaced. That suggests he’s still a long way from being match fit for a PL game.

He waffled on about squad team players shouldn't expect to start, needing to earn their place in the team by training well and supporting their team mates when not playing. That statement could be quite telling as to who may be sulking at not being in the team when the team sheet is announced. Or not.

He alluded to something along those lines with Enciso recently so could be aimed at him again.

Good, Steele is in goal.
Even with this info available, there are still people on this thread who think we should stick with the dutchman for every game. I worry about verbruggen, he's got the potential to have a robert sanchez moment

As opposed to Steele, who ACTUALLY concedes just about every shot on target which isn't straight at him. It's mad to me anyone would want Steele to play.
