Starting a revolution from my bed
I’d swap Moder for Lallana and push Gross up/let him work out where the team needs him. Bring Lallana on if the game situation dictates it.

Liverpool’s press is about as good as it gets, I’d be looking to go more direct and have Baleba and Moder on high alert to any transition situations.

If Veltman is fit, going with him over Lamptey.
Greater defensive discipline, otherwise agree

Obvs. assuming Milner is ready.
Milner is out for a while, as per today's RDZ press conference. What's happened to your Veltman thing?

Milner, I missed that. Instead I looked at a couple of reliable and updated websites.

Velts …. my favourite Albion player of the last 4 years, let’s face it, he’s a god 😍 . Post his long layoff, I wasn’t sure if he’s match fit to face Diaz?

That’s almost my first Albion team Jan 76.

But Ward was still at Burton Albion.

Towner played wing, I think there was a Burnett in there.
Was that the 6-0 Colchester United match or the Mansfield Town one ?

Colchester, I still have the skinny programme. My very kind older brother took me.

Second game, a month later my Dad took me to the Goldstone under floodlights for Albion 2-0 CP. Over 33,000 plus huge numbers Bamber didn’t record. The terraced crowds were swaying, heaving.

What a lucky introduction.

I was only 6 at the time, but remember the reports on the radio from the Colchester match that month and seeing the score in the Argus later. They must have turned the press round pretty quickly back then.

We left Saturday games at say 4.45 (HT’s were just ten minutes, injury time minimal) …… by 6 newsagents 10 miles away had the Argus Night Final edition with a full match report by John Vinnicombe. We’d pick it up on the way home.

The Argus had 100k hard cope sales with a big staff, their vans headed off in all directions from Robert Street.

My parents have photos of Argus clippings on my kids bedroom wall …. including for that CP 2-0 win.

10 miles away. That's an awesome turnaround. Where were you living at the time ?

It wasn't just the quick deliveries to newsagents. There were armies of paperboys at the ready. Pretty sure ours was on the mat by 6.30 in Queen's Park.

I’d like:

Bart
Veltman, JPVH, Dunk, Estupinian
Baleba, Gross
Adingra, Facu, Barco
Ferguson

I have a feeling that Barco whipping in some delightful crosses, big Ev will slam a header into the net and get his confidence back.

I expect:
Steele
Lamptey, JPVH, Dunk, Estupian
Facu, Baleba, Gross, Adingra
Fati
Welbz
