What have I missed. Why is Gardner everyone's first choice ?

Bring back Holla.

He has started in every league game so far, so I think it's a resigned assumption that he'll be in the 11 more than a reflection on his abilities.

Is it possible, or even probable, that it's part of the loan deal with Villa?

Gardner starts ahead of Holla because Holla has been poor bar the first few weeks of the season

And Gardner has been rested, so I doubt a must play loan is in operation.

Totally nailed it. Finding it hard to build a case for JFC. If we opt for this attacking system, last thing we need is someone to slow play to a standstill....

Dunno yet. Still thinking. Lualua is already in team though in a central position. Colunga would be on merit but we need someone to close down Scott Parker and someone to keep tabs on McCormack. Gardner likely to be in my team. One out of Ince or Forster-Caskey might be dropped? I am not all that keen at Joe Bennett at left back. Could Hughes play there? Holla in the reckoning as well.

Leading 2-1 with five minutes to go and I would like to man mark McCormack.

Like the look of this team, but suspect that Sami will shoehorn Gardener into the lineup and if that is the case JFC should drop down as Ince should definitely start.

i wouldnt start baldock i would have him on the bench and we never play 2 fowards upfront 2gether its more like 4-3-3
