Plenty of options/game changers off the bench in Rutter, March, Adingra etc.

I think that there will be a surprise or two.

——————-——Verbruggen———————--
Veltman———JPvH——-Webster——Estupiñán
———Baleba———————Gomez—————
March——————-Pedro——————Mitoma
—————————Welbeck————————-

FH’s press conference quote about Gomez seems to indicate that he’d do well against the likes of Everton.

FH likes game changers on the bench for the 2nd half. I think Minteh has played his way out the team as FH might want the experience of March in the first half as he gives us a little more control. Minteh could then cause huge problems for tired Everton defenders at the end of the match.

Probably there will randomly be 4 changes, which nobody will be able to work out why but those that come in do well

Oh and the number of people on this site who line up to have a pop at Dunk, like it's some sort of massive surprise to them that in the PL, there are world class forwards who, yes from time to time are going to get the better of our defenders.

Still too early to start Solly. The team surely has to be as close to the one which started at Old Trafford.

I think Huerzeler is starting to know his best side and understands the importance of a consistent starting line up.

Suspect Webster will have to come in for Dunk, but unchanged other than that.

Rutter on for Pedro on 60,
March for Minteh on 75

The other subs will depend on the state of the game.

He was limited to 30mins per game but I see no reason why this should not be increased to 45mins for the first half today.

I just get the impression that Hürzeler really wants to get to half time in a position of not losing, this is his big priority. Allied with the fact that Everton started very well against us in the return leg and that they mowed down Spurs in the first half last week (but tired in the 2nd and almost lost a 3 goal lead), I think a draw at half time would be very good for us.

We can introduce a number of game changers in the 2nd half and go up a gear or two. Different challenges for their tired low block.

To pass people on the edge of their box and disrupt the low block.

Minteh and Rutter less strong with the ball at their feet in contact.
Thought he was pretty much anonymous in the last home game when he kept drifting inside. Lots of potential but personally don’t think he’s ahead of Minteh on last week’s display. Will be delighted obviously if he justifies another start.

Still, I wouldn’t want to be a slightly knackered defender having to face Georginio and Minteh in the second half.
