Team hardly picks itself. Starting with the keeper. On the form I 've seen I would put Ankergen ahead of Stockdale.

Not quite picking itself but down to only a couple of questions:
CMS or Baldock?
Which two in midfield apart from Holla out of Crofts/JFC/Gardner/Bruno?

The midfield question is fascinating, with Hyypia seemingly preferring players who are comfortable in possession and can spot a pass, I can envisage Kemy & Stephens potentially being the two whom join Holla in the centre when they regain fitness.

I though March was great in pre-season and fully expect him to challenge Colunga for one of the inside forward positions. Lua Lua is a fantastic sub and McCourt could well be another once he gains match fitness in those positions.

The striker question is tough also. I think CMS currently has the spot but he needs to be scoring a few more, a goal against Brentford and I think he's in for another few matches, if not it may be time for Baldock. From a tactical perspective, COG on the bench seems like a good option, I think he could work well with another striker if we were to switch to 2 up front, he gives us something different. Don't discount the fact that Colunga could end up as our 1st choice striker either, March is capable of holding down a place when he comes back and that could mean Colunga is pushed up to striker. We want our single striker to score, not too much else, if they don't find the net with regularity we now have fantastic replacements.

The fact that none of those last four are really commanding a spot might be why we continue to be linked to other midfielders. There is still a spot or two up for grabs there.

Think you're mostly right here, although I think Ince should be considered, certainly ahead of Bruno, and perhaps even above all of those. Interesting to see that no-one seems to be putting KLL in the starting line-up. I wouldn't, but want him on after an hour, pretty much irrespective of what the score is (he might need to be brought on earlier if things aren't going well).

Spot on, on all of this. That said, I'm still intrigued about what Toko is like, and what he can bring -- he's played Champions League football, after all.

It would certainly be a brave new world if that was the away team.

The way Greer and Dunk have been playing recently that looks like an audacious

It doesn't matter who that player is, if the assist pass doesn't come, they are not scoring.
V Charlton we looked great on 3/4ers of the pitch, but pretty much failed to get the final ball away.

We can now safely say whoever is in the forward line will be running at their defence and won't be winning headers.

Plus one for this.

Crofts needs to get his season started though. And sitting alongside Gardner I'd expect betterf rom him that we've seen from his performances alongside JFC or Kemy.

That team cab still play defensively. Just drop the 5 in midfield closer to the back 4, with Holla holding in the middle. That team also has pace on the wings, and in the middle with Tex (which we normally lack), so it should be good on the counter.

This as well. Doubt we'd have got Gardner on loan if we weren't intending on playing him. Baldock edges it over CMS. Tex and Colunga are shoe ins given their performances against Charlton
