That's a rather misleading take on things, isn't it? He wasn't dropped after those games - he kept his place at Everton, was anonymous, and hooked after an hour.

No not really..it’s my take on things thanks

a galaxy far far away
Ryan
Webster Duffy Dunk
Montoya Mooy Stephens Pröpper Bernardo
Gross
Murray

Subs Button; Schelotto; Alzate, Bissouma, Jahanbakhsh, Trossard; Maupay

Bournemouth will be playing with two strikers, because they're limited by having to choose whoever they can find who happens to be fit. Let's use our 3 centre backs, get Gross on all the set pieces and add Murray to our set piece prowess. The man will take any chances we create for him, and he'll hold up the ball to bring Mooy and Pröpper into play, as well as Gross. I think the balance is right, Mooy playing more centrally where he can get on the ball and do his thing with a bit more freedom and reunites Gross and Murray - the partnership which kept us up last season.

They played with an attacking 3 in their last game (Wilson Wilson and Fraser)

Are you sure there’s not someone you’ve left out of your starting XI?

God we have missed Dan Burn. As a consequence, anyone picking a back four including Montoya and Bernardo is asking for trouble. They can only play in a back 5. I also think we need to start Murray and Maupay together, as Bournemouth are depleted defensively!

Howe predictably targeting the game against us as their opportunity to turn their season round...just like every other friggin manager in the friggin PL.

It is very odd to me that AJ scores in two games, plays really well and gives us something different and suddenly he is dropped to the bench and doesn’t get on when we are playing fecking awfully!

And of course, you're fully entitled to your opinion Dave.

If that opinion was 'Alireza didn't deserve to get left out' - that would be entirely valid.

It was the suggestion that he was dropped immediately after the two games in which he scored, that I corrected - that's all

This - with regards to Bernardo - is complete nonsense!

Bernardo is a far, far more comfortable and effective left back, than Dan Burn will ever be. Burn, on the left of a back three - absolutely a fair selection. As a left back, over an in-form Bernardo - incredible.

You didn’t watch Saturday then when Bernardo was widely named man of the match on here playing in a back 4?

I'm also going to jump in on your bizarre assertion that Bernardo can't play in a back four. He's comfortably the best left back in our squad, as he is as a left wing back. I'd go as far to say that he's either in or close to the top five players in our squad.

Yup

Need to dispell the myth that they have loads of injuries as well. Only brooks and king (who might be back) are guaranteed starters injured at the moment .

I hate to say it but their team on paper is probably better than ours. Wilson , Wilson and Fraser up front are quality on their day.

We did get more of that. Only he missed.

To be fair that was a blinding save by Pepe...we were right behind that and for everything maupay’s kick was in!

Hopefully we will play someone who is willing to run at defenders, cross the ball into the danger area and even take a shot or two. We have plenty of players capable of passing the ball around the opponent's D. :tantrum:

And Mepham (who would probably be starting anyway, but absolutely would be in Cook's absence)

Just like we do when we play any lower team at home. Frankly I would hope so as it heaps the pressure on them.

It's getting close to a must win for them, despite our precarious position, a draw for us wouldn't be the end of the world.
