Steele (Bart needs a bit of catching practice and some competition)
Lamptey (if no Veltman)
JPVH
Dunk
Igor
O'Riley
Baleba
Rutter
Mitoma
March ( No Saka providing)
Pedro

Subs Bart, Veltman, Webster, Wieffer,Encisco, Estupinan,Gruda, Andringa,Slater.
Steele? Absolutely not, that experiment is over.

Bart is far better than Steele even with a few blunders lately, he made some unbelievable saves against Villa that Steele would have stood and watched go in.

Minteh -------------- Rutter ------------ Mitoma
Joao Pedro

Subs: Steele, Lamptey, Igor, Ayari, Moder, Gruda, Adingra, Enciso
With apologies to Lamptey and Igor, after putting in strong performances against Villa, particularly Lamptey -- although Igor might need to start on the left if Pervis doesn't recover from the illness.
At this time of year, we need rotation given the number of fixtures, and a rest clearly revived Mitoma whose 30 minutes were excellent against Villa.
We need to be at our defensive best against Arsenal, particularly at set pieces, so Veltman is a no-brainer and although Igor is better in the air than Pervis, Pervis gives us more balance.
Would love to be able to start someone else alongside Baleba, but will go for MOR, despite certain concerns for the simple reason that he offers more than Ayari.
Rutter provides more energy than Enciso and will need to do more defensive work, which will be welcome, and Arsenal defend narrow on the left, so Minteh playing high and wide with rapid pace could be a great outlet.
Don’t agree re MOR and Ayari so that would be my only change, otherwise hope you’re right.

This is really a 5-3-2 out of possession…

I think MOR offers a little more defensively. I’m actually just thinking about his height and strength against Arsenal’s astonishingly effective set-pieces.
I’m not sure he does - see Fulham.

Against Arsenal, I feel you need to be disciplined positionally, that appears to be the weakest part of MORs game IMO.

jpv. Dunk..webster

orally….enciso…baleba…ayari….. weiffer( if fit)

pedro

adringa………. Mitoma

not in those positions in midfield …I would move that around.

does anyone know if Ostegard is fit?
I'd start with 12 against Arsenal too, but reckon they'd spot it.

Some of our best performances come when we can bring on serious talent off the bench. Pedro is probably due a rest, but it's hard to see who starts up front in his stead. Can Rutter do it?

Bart
JP Dunk Igor
Lamptey Baleba Ayari Mitoma
Gruda MOR
Rutter

Dunno but as long as I don't have to watch that Igor-Enciso left side from the Villa game again I'm going to be a happier man.
