Totally misleading title to the thread, as it would seem rather than kicking off, it has been stopped even before it started.

No doubt the Taylor Swift fans while disappointed that they will have to wait to see her in concert, will be thankful that the plans have been thwarted.

I guess since Travis Kelce is in Chiefs training camp she needed an excuse to visit St Joseph, MO (not only the home of Chiefs training camp but the starting point for the Pony Express)

By using a short route and mounted riders rather than traditional stagecoaches, they proposed to establish a fast mail service between St. Joseph, Missouri, and Sacramento, California, with letters delivered in 10 days, which many said was impossible.

Understand that the Pony Express trail is not 100% accessible. But enough is for you to explore and really enjoy the ride. An occasional placard fills in some of the details that aren't readily apparent. I suggest driving during a dry spell.

My wife has been speaking to her sister today. Our niece is currently backpacking round Europe with a couple of friends, and they had tickets for one of the cancelled concerts in Vienna. Her Mum will be glad to get her home.

She also saw Arianne Grande in Dublin, two nights before the Manchester bombing.

I hope she does not have tickets for Crack Cloud in Berlin next month?

I'm currently in Austria and was due to attend last night's show. While I appreciate you don't like her music, making a joke like this is a disgrace. People have lost thousands of pounds to be here and have travelled from all over the world.

I was out in the main center last night and there's a lot of little girls who have just had their first concert/major event ruined by this, sobbing, trading friendship bracelets in the streets and grieving something they'd looked forward to for 13+ months, some grieving the end of their childhood, as these kinds of things can give kids trauma for a long, long time, even if the main attack was avoided. Those parents have to have this conversation with their kids about how evil this world can be far earlier than they planned.

If you don't give a shit about all the adults here who are sad and/or scared of what could have been, at least try and show some empathy for the kids impacted by this, it's been a f***ing scary time these past 36 or so hours.

Oh FFS. Grow up. Idiot.

There's definitely an idiot involved, but it certainly isn't @EliasTaproot.

You made a joke that was weak, regardless of the situation. Throw the situation in, that has well been outlined above, and you've managed to achieve both terrible joke and crass context. Well played.

I think it's you that needs to grow up. Given everything going on in the world at the moment you feel it's OK to make a 'joke' about a serious threat that could have resulted in the loss of innocent lives had this threat not been detected. But you do you.
Nope, the joke was the shared play on words / if someone had misheared. Nothing to do with laughing at peoples situation. Or terrorism or anything else so dark. That deduction is a massive leap others have made instead, mistakenly and maybe even malevolently, to then vent their spleen. I feel like I’ve accidentally wandered into someone’s firing range granted. That and at no point was I joking about terrorism or peoples disappointment. I suppose I should have been wise in hindsight to someone drawing such a conclusion. But as said, it was harmless in intent quip play on words. The subsequent accusations are a little strong and rather OTT IMO, including your further steps into what iffery.

FWIW, I humbly apologise for any offence taken - even to those who won’t accept. Because it was never intended nor about terrorism. Time to leave NSC alone perhaps. Emotions running high, I accept this. Ciao fellas and bellas :)
