He’s going to have a fair bit of competition with Moder, Moises, Molumby all fighting for that position with Gross and Biss!

I suspect Taylor will be loaned to a Championship club next season, and all goes well will be his “Ben White” phase (minus the Leeds type nonsense).

He plays 10 for Donnie.

Yeah I was responding to a poster who said he’s going to be in our center midfield next season. You’re right he’s playing in the Big Mac role for Don.

In any case I’d be hugely surprised if he broke into our team just yet.

As an aside, Molumby is playing in a pretty advanced role at PNE. Be interesting to see what happens with him in the summer, seems to have so much potential.

a galaxy far far away
I hope Taylor will stay focussed on his main mission in League 1 ... the reason we sent him there

To make sure he fires Donny the goals to keep Pompey away from promotion

I think Molumby has a lot of potential, but I think he'll follow Max Sanders with a permanent move in the summer. We've got so many players in that position I just cant see him staying. He asked for first team football in the summer, and spent half a season barely making the bench. Maybe he'll be happy with another loan, but sadly I think he'll get moved on.

“Scored” another today for Donny, I say “scored” as the keeper and the post certainly helped, but another goal contribution for him.

I've just seen this interview he gave back in May - Brighton midfielder Taylor Richards: I've loved Doncaster loan

Bit of a strange quote here (emphasis mine):-

What does the highlighted bit mean, and why?
It doesn’t read well, but perhaps it’s getting away from an environment where everything is done for you. Playing at Doncaster in league 1 is a world away from under 23 football and state of the art training facilities.

The new environment could be a great experience which grounds him and makes him understand the privileges of modern day premier league football. It worked very well for Ben White at Newport.

Either that or his being a bit of a ****. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

From stats taken in 2017 only 180 of the 1.5 million players who are playing organised youth football in England at any one time will make it as a Premier League pro.

Having the ability will only get you half the way, having the right mentality is 50% of the deal.

I guess this might be an indication that Richards is deficient in that part of the equation.

Maybe the lad had fallen into some bad company outside of the club and the move broke those links.

That’s a bit of a leap based on one line from an interview that none of know what he is referring to.

We have wriggle room with this one. May or may not turn out to be top drawer, but still only young. A Championship loan next, and then assess whether he's potentially first team ready after that
