Recommendations for getting a tattoo, don't get your first one on your chest, or inner forearm.
I can only recommend Skin Candy on Baker Street and Dead Slow. Skin Candy did a lot of my work but have recently been going to Dead Slow, Harry there is a great artist and thoroughly friendly chap.
Price varies but is usually an hourly rate, £60 an hour is probably average but I'm not sure; usually work out a price beforehand for my pieces.
Is skin candy pretty good? My next is just a small one on my hand and skin candy is right by my house so I was thinking of just popping in to get it done quick, but I've no experience of the place except walking past.
Nine is excellent and I wouldn't go anywhere else, I've had work done by Ade and Nigel before, both amazing. I think they have big backlogs and last I heard Nigel was working on a 2 year waiting list and picking and choosing his clients depending if he was interested or not. But all the artists there are proper. Mine was way too long ago to quote prices but I'd expect to pay if you go there, I think it's worth your time to at least stick your head in and get a consultation though.
