I think that he may come on for the last 15 minutes v Norwich . Hopefully he still has his pace, fingers crossed. He has been out for 9 months and has been through a lot.

As Milano says he's a lot more ready than 15 mins.
He's been fully up to speed (pun intended) for well over a month.

X amount of weeks before being considered for the bench + bench time + international break time.

For me he's as likely to start as getting 15 minutes.
But then I doubt he'd see out the whole game, situation dependant.

From then it's just game by game.

Potter is never slow to shock with his selections. I can actually see Lamptey start on Saturday.

Can't say either way but if I were Mr Bloom, £350m in the hole, and the advise from the medical department is 'put him on for 15 minutes at the end and we'll see how he goes', I'd be asking quite a lot of questions.

Every Albion fan would love to see this. But on the other hand I can't think of anyone that deserves to be dropped from our last game.

This week we will have one of the more interesting press conferences. In addition to the obvious things which will be asked, I hope to hear more on Lamptey's progress as well as whether Webby and Welbeck are fit and available.

Heard on the grapevine that Welbeck’s injury is worse than originally feared and could be 3-4 months out but on the plus side our specialist have determined a structural issue with his hamstring that has been there his whole career and that can be fixed…

It's not a question of being dropped grandad!!!

It's picking the right side to beat the opponents from the players available.

If GPott believes Norwich can be got at down flanks then Lamptey will come in.
In much the same way if he thinking the team needs to stand firm against City, he may well be out again.

I don't think there is such a thing as a first choice eleven as far as GPot is concerned. He has said on many an occasion that he simply picks the best side to combat the opposition on the day. If he thinks he can get Lamptey up and down that Norwich left flank on Saturday then he will use him.

I'm guessing he plays on Saturday. I know Potter is flexible but he does have first choice picks (Dunk, Maupay, Trossard ) And Lamptey is one of em so if not now - then when.
Not sure he needs more game time - he's played in a cup game, behind closed doors and training with the full team for nearly a month..
Assuming Potter thinks he's still the same player as he was last year...

Probably on the bench again on Saturday and same thing against City I would imagine. Then maybe 60 min vs Leicester in the Cacao Cup.

I’m ‘guessing’ you are entirely correct! Tomorrow’s game just got a lot more exciting!!

Just need a striker to get on the end of the crosses they get in ..... oh wait a minute

Someone's not been pay attention.

Neither of these boys are by-line and cross players.

There's an argument to be made to resign Tomer, just to calmly slot away all the penalties.
