Him and Cucu are the talk of the town. We’ve done very well here. He just looks so good. Although when he goes in full sprint mode. My anxiety levels go through the roof.

This. Just need to add Billy Gilmour in the middle now and we'll have the ZIPPIEST side in the EPL. How will the flat-footed defenders of the Big Six cope? They really don't like it up 'em, and they're invariably not all that. The Big Six, well The Big Three really, all look pretty piss-poor IMHO if anybody dares take the game to them

I think he is regularly called out for fabricating stories.

Found this and remembered I’d read it before…

When you check the tier-based reliability guide, Castles is listed in the fourth tier - which is mostly unreliable. But there is a catch - he's the ultimate source for all things Jose Mourinho and anything to do with Jorge Mendes' clients.

Castles is close friends with super-agent Mendes, meaning if he's reporting something about Cristiano Ronaldo, it's probably true. However, run a mile away if you see him talk about anything else.

Spot on. Mourinho is Castles' USP and with him out of English football, he is desperately trying to keep himself relevant. Remember his story ( fairy tale, more like - giving precise details of the contract offer we were supposed to have made to Odsonne Edouard? Complete fantasy.

The story on that link is wrong about one thing - he never worked for The Times. He sold some stories to the Sunday Times as a freelancer after leaving the Mail.

''And according to transfer guru Duncan Castles, Brighton are happy to sell the player should their asking price be met.''

Ok yep, we're happy to let one of our best players go. Utter bullshit article.

Ive heard this elsewhere about selling for the right price. I don't doubt its true.

We coped rather well without him when he was out long term previously

If they offer anywhere near what the offer was for Ben White, he’ll be allowed to leave

Yes he’s one of our better players but it’s all about the bigger picture

Imo I'd be a little disappointed if Lamptey was sold for £50m.

Obviously Brighton would sell Lamptey for the right price. That's the definition of the "right price". What's open to debate is what the "right price" should be.

Ma and all mate, I would anticipate somewhere close to that and a replacement in the region of what was paid for Cucurella.

I don’t think we’ll get as much as we got for White

Central defenders seem to go for more
White did get capped for England
Tariq has a few injuries on his CV

If I’m honest I’d rather see him stay

Chelsea have a sell on percentage. We'll want at least the same as Ben White to let Lamptey leave. & given Arsenal have Tomiyasu playing well at right back, only just signed in the summer, I doubt they'll be spending £50m+ on another defender.

You’d think by now pricks like Castle would realise Brighton don’t roll over and have their tummy tickled by bigger clubs.
