Had Greasy not squealed like a little piglet Oliver would probably of had a word as you say.
Utter disgrace and unlike one or two on NSC who think the sun shines from his arse I think it brings the game into disrepute.
It will eventually kill the game as I knew it.

Im sure on the extended highlights you can hear him scream once then do another ridiculous screech when the ball is in the area 30 yards away. Then the ref stops the game. If that is him screaming a second time, the ref is an absolute disgrace, as is the brummy ****

You could actually argue Grealish fouls Lamptey because he spins his trailing leg round to wrap Lamptey up - twice.

Worst thing about all this is if you’re gonna get sent off for a foul on the prick you’d want it to be a proper good painful one - but this was nothing :(

No crowds have allowed us to hear the screams in all their glory. It’s embarrassing, grown ups lying like that to get opponents in trouble.

Maybe it's time the TV companies stopped playing artificial crowd noises - they're a fvcking pain anyway, as everybody knows they're false - and then they could broadcast out loud - and mock - the squeals that players emit when their bodies are raked by heavy machine gun fire from the stands - or in some cases the feel of something brushing against their socks.
If the whole world heard the squeals we might all burst out laughing - and MOTD could have a squeal of the month competition maybe?

I'm sure the ref told everyone to cut it out after Grealish yanked Veltman up and booked him, the very next thing that happened is Lamptey going in late on Grealish and I bet Oliver thought it was afters on him after what he'd just done, not surprised he was booked even though I'm sure Lamptey didn't mean it at all

Clubs must be coaching/encouraging the screaming, in addition to pitch slapping and series of parachute rolls that defy physics. More experienced players passing on how to get that ideal scream out pitch perfect.

Cheating (I refuse to call it gamesmanship .... that’s too kind) is institutionalised within clubs.

All the more reason - and opportunity - for TV companies to highlight it and call it out.

Sadly, they won't though.

I go along. with most exciting player we have had for years. However do think his defensive work needs improving. It was a stupid free kick to give away in injury time.

Sky and BT are all about an Americanised upbeat product, the incredible EPL. The rows about VAR encouraged as they draw in viewers, Jake Humphrey visibly salivates at a VAR controversy. Although hypocritically he abandoned his presenter role and dominated proceedings about Maupay over the Leno incident.

But the cheating and getting opponents into trouble, isn’t called out as that.

Alan Hansen briefly worked for Sky Sports at the very beginning, where he was asked to omit any negative views on matches.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

As much as I love Lamptey, him missing the Liverpool game might not be a disaster. Veltman doesn't offer nearly as much going forward, but he is a good defender and will be better suited to stopping Andy Robertson.

We just need Solly to take advantage of the absence of TAA on the other side.

There have been so many times were you see a player commit a yellow card foul where it isn't given because he's already on a yellow.
Player gets talked to and warned that if he does it again he's off.

Not for us. No a nothing challenge with Grealish rolling around like the **** he is, and out comes the ****ing 2nd yellow.

pretty much that ....very similar tackle to Pogba's on Connolly when our pen was overturned , put yourself between your marker and the ball , wait for contact , take the foul ......unless you're a Brighton player that is .:annoyed:

All if & buts... But if Lamptey had played against pool and really caused them all sorts of problems (even scored) then the clamour for him to leave Brighton would’ve been magnified 20-fold. #almostundertheradar

Well yeah, absolutely, exactly my point and I'm glad others see it too. Top players do their damage in attacking positions not as full back. Saints kept Bale at LB and it was Spurs who converted him to my memory. I get the feeling that Potter might be starting to think similarly, perhaps telling that when Burn came on he pushed Veltman across and left Lamptey high up the pitch

Ditto with Groβ who now seems to be the other defensive midfielder with Biss, and White, who is doubling up as midfielder (and what a challenge on Watkins, as good as scoring a goal).
