Has to be said that Tank has been a sad disappointment to all us '1-0 Brighton + Butters @ 150/1' backers this season.

On the other hand it would be an absolute pain in the arse to have to ship a case of cherry coke and a bottle of smirnoff down to Southampton.

Can't fault the big guy tho. It's no coincidence that he just happens to end up directly in the flight path of 95% of the high balls that are lobbed into his general area of the pitch. No coincidence either that he clears most of them. It's called reading the game and Tank's well worth another year of Dick Knight's money.

Agree, though Revell and Bertain would get a contract marginally before him. Butters has done bloody well this season and would be more than happy for him to have another year.
Revell has a contract.

Guy deserves another year, no question whatsoever, I can't believe its even up for discussion.

As for him going back to Gillingham; he already has an hours drive to Brighton, why would he want to make it a two and a half hour drive. He's settled where he is, kids at school etc, can't see him wanting to uproot now.

How many times over the last couple of months has his performances been described as solid, dependable and on more than 1 occ asion should have got MoM?

No question about it. Another year.

Been there, done that, not doing it again............unless 'the wag' wants to pay him trillions!

Right then. I'll keep those bets going til the end of the season

I expect the mighty Tank is just waiting for the price go out to a very generous 250/1 before rising like a GAZELLE to meet the corner and head cleanly past the flailing keeper :clap2:

Maybe the thought of having soggy pizza on the coach on the way home has not given him much incentive but now the prospect of danish pastries for dins might make him rise like a GAZELLE! :lolol:

Please, please, please tell me that 'soggy pizza' isn't some modern day 'soggy biscuit' equivalent.
