I hesitate to say this - but given how few minutes he has had - aren’t people being a bit over negative about Izzy?

The same people (person) that still refuses to learn their lesson from the summer signings.

He gives the impression trhat he doesnt want to be here for whatever reason and this I think is what is getting to people. It could of course be his normal manner and nothing sinister.

Complete and utter tosh. Unless you are party to some inside information you are being very unreasonable and once again are filling NSC with your drivel. Still at least you've got a gazillion posts to your credit. :ffsparr:

It could also be the case that he came to us expecting to be a regular first team player, and is a bit p____d off at his lack of action. I wonder if Chelsea put a clause in the loan deal about the number of games to be played, and if so, can they/might they recall him in January?

That is only how I read his manner on the field you may read it differently. For the millionth time I do not care about post count I only respond when I have a point to make.

The first point is of course an opinion, fair enough. However the second is generously dosed in irony.

He started against City and got injured and was out for quite a few games. Once he was fit the team was playing so well he hasn’t been able to get a start. Probably is pissed off but he'll just have to wait for a chance to start a game, He has looked OK when he has come on but done nothing special that I have seen? Does anyone think he has earned the right to start in front of who already does, CH obviously doesn’t,.

He looked pretty good against Atletico in the friendly too. Just not had a run of games, so can’t really judge.

They probably have, which may be why he is playing in every game. Cannot see where he is going to get a start though

Is he? I know he was injured for a bit, but has he come on as a sub every game since then? In that case, maybe Chelsea should have specified how many minutes, rather than how many (short) appearances!

The perfect signing IF we sell Hemed IMHO.
Doubt Chelsea would want him on the bench though so very unlikely.

Exactly as he’d likely only be a squad player, would be much better of going back to Championship club and playing every week. Would definitely be a good signing for us though.

Agree. Chelsea will almost certainly want him playing games - so, Aston Villa for Tammy, then. Can't say that'll bother me.

TA is still only 20, so would not 'count' as one of the 25 named squad limit. That last remaining space (if no departures from the 24 named today) surely reserved for a CB. As such he'd be a 'bonus' signing, so little to lose.

Can't say I'm much bothered either way, though.

I think Abraham would be a great signing for us as a backup but as others have said, wouldn't imagine Chelsea would be too keen on him warming our bench. Having said that though, if we paid his full wages and Villa did not, maybe they wouldn't be so fussed!
