Take a look at the table

With the exception of Palace, which clubs do you think we have the right to be above? We're the only side in the top half which hasn't played in the top flight in recent times (and the only one that has never appeared in the Premier League).

Maybe it's time for the fans to rally round a team that's been looking to turn draws into wins, rather than get on their backs for admittedly a poor performance which still deserved another draw (beaten by Watford's only worthwhile chance of the second half).

What on earth has the historical fact that we have never played in the premiership got to do with the merit of our position in the league!

Why all his table stuff? That's the result of things going on back in August and early September ... it's November now!

I'm not getting on anyone's back (exclude Harley) but if there's anyone not concerned by current form and just assuming we''ll come out of it magically or because we have Buckley, Vicente, Hoskins back then I'd say they're kidding themselves.

Need to look at the bigger picture, the number of points we have picked up in the last 9 games is relegation form. I suggest we have the worst record of every club in the league over those games?? We cannot keep banging on about our good start. We just need to be thankful for it. Gus is underachieving at the moment and to keep regurgitating what he achieved last season and earlier this season is no help. Yeah he probably will turn it around but can we not question him and his tactics at all?? Every team needs a plan B, can anyone tell me what ours is??

Not impressed with the pig headedness of "we can only play my way" tbh.

We can't keep looking at the table and saying its ok we are only x points off 3rd etc etc

We have got about 3 points from the last 27 available and that is shocking

I really don't like the look of the points totals most of the teams below us are now amassing. Desperately need a win or two to put some daylight between us and them else we're going to be engulfed sooner rather than later.

No one has some god-given 'right' to be above anyone else. We are where we are. We deserve to be where we are in the table.

This. They peppered our goal in the first 15 mins and we didn't have any threatening shots whatsoever

In the second half, we looked pretty comfortable for the most part without threatening to win it. You expect a couple of scares on the road so, on that basis, I'd have said nobody would have thought it was outrageous if we'd left with a point. Going forward it was disappointing - otherwise, just very average. Certainly not the all-round shambles this place would make you believe.

Just a sense of perspective for those who seem to feel we should win this league. The point is we are still in a position that provides an excellent platform if the team can end this run.. So getting behind them might be more helpful than getting on their backs as some people can't wait to do.

You're kidding yourself. It really WAS a shambles, and the scoreline flattered us.

No mate. A shambles is how we used to look in Micky Adams' 2nd spell. It was just uninspired - not chaotically disorganised.

Incidentally, the Watford fan on the other thread seems to have watched the same game as me.

On the radio they were saying we DESERVED a draw as we pressed at the end of the game.

Which was a rather odd thing to conclude, considering how truly shithouse we were in the opening quarter of the game when we were getting battered.

Why say that? I've not seen anyone say we should win it, indeed most said before the start that mid table would be fine ... but the stuff and results we're dishing up makes us relegation fodder, pure and simple .. that's not to say it won't improve but it seems Gus isn't going to change his approach so it'll need to be elsewhere

we played most of the game without any of our first choice midfielders and an officially retired OAP at right back against a fast, physical team that by all accounts is now quite settled and comfortable with itself.
