Yep, I concur. Worked socks off in forlorn position.

Ran himself into the ground, took the heat and knocks from the hulking centre-back and left nothing out on the pitch tonight.

Good work fella.

Was just about to start a thread for Ash.
Really, really excellent performance from Barnes today, MOM in my view.
Such a tough job to play as a lone striker against such lumps. Keep it up Ash.

I too thought he did well. I'm a big Barnes fan but I don't see him as a lone striker. Tonight was as good as I've seen him in that position. I hope those who still call him petulant will start to admit that since his "trip" sending off he is a much more mature and less volatile player. Keep it going Ash.

Thought Ash was awesome tonight.

Well done mate
Bollox should have been Mr

:lolol: Agree with the sentiment though. Ash finally looked confident up top. Will was great on the right and Upson solid as a rock at the back.
Solid 7's across the board aside, other than Bruno and GG.

Well played Barnsey. His best game for some while I thought.

Agree with you all the comments, Barnes was immense in a side showing a lack of self belief. A couple of fortunate decisions in favour [Bruno not red carded & the 'goal' that wasn't] may just change things for the good.

He misplaced one pass all night in a game where Bruno and Andrews gave it away for fun. No one got on their backs but as soon as he made that one mistake there was a huge shout of "oh F*** OFF BARNES". I'm not his greatest fan or his greatest critic but he was excellent tonight, a real team performance and he gave everything.

Needs to play alongside Lita on Saturday

I love this charity that Barnes gets, he isn't a lone striker, he needs to play alongside a front man......its a shame the same charity isn't given to CMS when he is flogging himself across the pitch time and again chasing lost causes from poor service.

He could have done with more support but he did well for the most part
