No I do not class myself as a EU citizen or a Yank. Just English The day Britain surrenders to the Euro I will emerigrate to Canada. I am not anti-European just Anti-EU. I want us out and ruling ourselves.

Yeah, 'Out' with all the jobs that go with membership to the EU.

I hope you feel proud every time "Ode to Joy" is played. It makes me feel so, thinking of all of the people who have benefited from the EU. Roll on the constitution!

I was educated in Burgess Hill, by people who have strong pride in being British and English and not the EU.
Teachers are not allowed to peddle lies though. Let me guess, you sat in your Cookery and Home Economics lessons and thought, 'this right-wing pillock is correct, I am not European - I am British and, er, proud...'

You are a British subject and an EU citizen. You have no say in either matter, unless you sod off and take up citizenship elsewhere.

Strike the decision on the single currency will happen in New Labour's next term not 15 years.

That said I do think we should not all pick on Strike.

He has just got a bit muddle and backed into a corner.

From what I can gather he does not consider himself European but recognises we are in fact members of the EU.

Strike isn't lost yet, he's only a young 'un.

Therefore I have taken it upon myself to re-educate him by mildly poking fun at him.

Shouldn't take long:)

Can people stop terming European and EU the same thing they are not. European is all people that are from the continent of Europe nothing to do with the EU. Same way Canadians and Yanks are North Americans. The EU is a country union that I don't want us to be a part of. I have nothing against being European.

The EU has quite a lot to do with Europe - erm, what does the 'E' in 'EU' stand for? Anyway, your bonkers isolationist opinions will not worm you out of this one - like it or not ('not' in your case), YOU ARE AN EU CITIZEN. Are we clear now?

For the first three years I was in Poland Taco bell was really popular. It's not really Tex-Mex... more fast food tex-mex but definately healthier and tastier than Big Mac or Burger King. Personally I thought it was great. However, then KFC bought the European operations and then closed it down to make more space for KFC. That's why you can't find Taco Bells anymore.

Any stick it gets is becuase it's fast food and it's Tex-Mex rather than real Mexican food... whcih is super.

You tell 'em Strike! I refuse to accept I'm an EU citizen too, and no amount of oppression by a load of Italian politicians, German bankers and French industrialists will make me accept their Capitalist Club. (copyright Tony Benn, 1974)
