I'd given up on Mexican here as I don't like Los Amigos. I need to try some nice alternatives.As per Brighton there are plenty of really good independent Mexican places too.
I think it's more 'like MacDonalds you know what you're getting every time' and people would rather have the predictability offset by the fact that the food may be a bit pedestrian rather than risk the unknown of a proper burger (or Mexican) place. Not all people, obviously but a significantly large part of the market worldwide.Because like McDonalds they're cheap 'n' cheerful.
