Is anyone actually now benefiting from this thread about a murdered German woman?

Xenophobic.

For someone who has just claimed that he cannot tolerate the intolerance and general name calling, and was going to leave the thread in a cloak of moral superiority, you are doing a pretty good job yourself of continuing what you claim to find distasteful. It is human nature, I suppose, to want to feel good about oneself, and threads such as these do attract such characters, who are only too happy to call others racist, even when no racism is intended. And what better avenue that an anonymous outlet such as this.

99.993% of Germans weren't Waffen SS.

Doesn't mean there wasn't a large % of "peaceful" people that supported them from the sidelines.

WTF?

Ridiculous comparison. The Waffen SS weren't waging an open war against other Germans.

If you learned to read at school instead of sleeping you would understand what the word colonise means and how it differs from "Rule over"'

someone get this clown a dictionary.

And if you hadn't skipped History you'd have realised that the term "Crown colony" was primarily used to refer to those colonies that had been acquired through wars.

Trust me, it's clear what you were trying to say. Coming from a background in history and archaeology and having thousands of similar debates one thing we all agree on is that if someone scampers off to look up the dictionary definition of a phrase or word rather than explain what they mean in their own words, it's a given they don't know what they are talking about.

i did explain what I meant inmy own words, i had to get a dictionary as my words were being taken out of context for cheap point scoring.

I didn't say Crown colony, I said colonise. Buy yourself a dictionary.

This. To be honest , none of these posters vile ramblings deserve even reading. Insane, inflammatory, racist abuse really does not help anyone and is particularly inappropriate given the recent spate of terrorist mass murders.

I have reported your post. could you point out what part you beleive is racist, or apologise, or back it up in open court.

It's not his problem that you chose to say that Britain "colonised sparsely populated lands with with few nomadic tribes", missing out that we also colonised places like India.

No we didn't the British that moved out there to rule invariably returned home, they were not settlers.

Are you really saying that India wasn't a British colony?

India came under direct British rule in 1857 and if you check any historical references it was referred to as a British colony.
