It’s good but I’d argue that there are Oasis B-sides that are better. But it’s all down to personal preference, of course.

In fact, Oasis did a cover of a Stones song and it’s sounds better than the original.

Oasis don’t even sound like The Beatles, although they are better than the Stones.

Sympathy For The Devil is not even in the top 20 songs of all time. But it’s all a matter of personal preference.

Yes, I’ve never understood the Beatles tribute act thing either. Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger, Round Are Way etc sound absolutely nothing like the Beatles.

But like a lot of fallacies it seems to stick.

Not the best ever but deffo up there in my opinion. Apart from the demonic subject matter, the driving tribal rhythm gives it a ritual voodoo feeling, a bit like "Help me somebody" by David Byrne and Brian Eno on " My Life in the Bush of Ghosts". Great stuff.

If anything, some of their later songs sound more like Lennon than the earlier ones that most people seem to know.

Wow.

I’ve never heard that opinion before. I can’t believe anyone else on the planet shares that view.

Even Noel & Liam would admit that they are nowhere near being as good or as big as the lengendary Stones.

Give me What’s the Story Morning Glory over the dull and repetitive Exile on Main Street any day of the week.

Your mileage may vary...

Well, they are far too modest

I think more people would turn out for an Oasis reunion than a Stones gig, well in this country.

Thanks, now I've got to go and watch The Departed because someone mentioned Gimme Shelter.

My mistake, I thought this thread was about if anyone had sympathy for Corbyn, which of course I don’t. Awful man.
