i left at half-time. i've never seen a swindon side look so disinterested and shambolic.

it's sad that your players felt the need to provoke the town fans who protested after the game.

Some Swindon fans were gathering outside to form a protest and Sonicyouth was one of the ringleaders.

What did the players do?

I must say the Red Card protest didn't really come off. I think I only saw a few raised in the stand opposite us. I see what you mean about a large propoertion of the support being ambivalent to the goings on. Well done all the same.

i wouldn't say i was a ringleader! as has been par for the course since september, some fans protested outside the arkells stand after the game...the police moved us out of the way to let the brighton team coach through and the players gestured towards us, not particularly friendly gestures either.

thanks for your support today BoF, it was much appreciated and my thanks goes out to all the brighton fans who pitched in today. the red cards went down well outside the ground and we actually ran out of them but there were probably as many being held up in the away end as anywhere else.

i'm not sure if people don't care, don't understand or don't want to get involved but the club could be at death's door and the majority aren't doing anything.

as for the team's performance, i'm led to believe that we didn't improve much in the second half. i saw us lose 7-1 to nottingham forest in 2006 and we weren't half as bad as we were today.

nevertheless, from the first half at least i thought brighton looked a good side who played some tidy football. decent wingplay, forster looked dangerous and even savage looked like a footballer. second best side i've seen this season, beaten only by orient.

perhaps if things do go tits up at town, i'll pop down the withdean (when it's dry)

The Goldstone protests took a fair time to build momentum. Some who were eventually at the heart of the battle were staunchly against it at 1st in the belief that their beloved club would do such a thing. It took some convincing that the swines at running the club were not 'the club'.

Hopefully more of your fans will wake up before it's too late. During 'the troubles' our crowds increased 2 or 3 fold as fans came back to fight to keep us alive. Don't give up the fight.

40 years ago tomorrow, 16/12/1967, was my 1st Albion game. It was a 0-0 draw against a very fine Swindon side, most of whom went on to win promotion & the League Cup. I really should have gone today, it would have made a nice symetry playing the away fixture 40 years on.

Albion, & Swindon, have seen some fine times, both reached the top league and both made Wembly. But both nearly going bust too and playing in the basement. 40 years on we are both in much the same position, league wise.

About 900 at it's peak. Some reports say as low as 750; one paper quoting nearly 1000. Sad though that the club has to be virtually on its knees before we get those kind of numbers. And sonic was there, I stood next to him (for some of it)

As I've said on another thread, thanks for your support for our protests yesterday.

Oh, and sorry about the crap on the pitch, to be fair as others have said I think our players are nearly as demoralised as we were, but I don't think anyone got value for money in terms of "entertainment" yesterday. Still I guess you guys are happy enough with the points and the 3 goals. Best of luck for the rest of the season

No he didn't.

Tony Grealish missed an open goal at inj front of the North Stand from one yard - literally - and not only that, he managed to get it over the bar! Still makes me chuckle. But can't recall the game.

Peter Ward...West Brom away...League Cup ...1975/6ish....he scored two that night and mullered them, however Wardy missed one from standing on the line...he managed to clear the bar...it was incredible.
