Hope your back is OK. I know that football ground aren't the best place for painful joints!
Not sure which pub. Haven't been in contact with anyone. My money's on the nearest Wetherspoons to the station. I'm just planning on driving down about 11am and hope I don't get lost. No idea what the availability of parking is like.

I would suggest walking past the nearest Wetherspoons (The Grove) and heading for the St Daniels Arms a few doors down which is a Lloyds bar (Wetherspoons owned, so cheap but it a bit more atmospshere).
Thw Walkabout, sandwiched inbetween the two, is probably Swindon's most popular drinking venue, which is says something...

Last time I parked right near the ground in an office car park. Cost a fiver but had security patrols. Head to the ground and you shouldnt miss it.

Last time I drove to Swindon I parked near a railway line...and before you wags start saying, how did you get your car on the platform...it was near a bridge not far from the ground.
