I saw some crap about players should not have to accept racism on social media as part of their job. They don’t.
Playing football is their job, they choose to be on social media. Racism is wrong whatever.
Completely agree. However, pick your battles maybe because this is one which football simply cannot win for the multitude of reasons already mentioned on this thread. All very commendable what clubs doing in support. I just can’t ever see a world in perfect harmony. Hard enough trying to achieve in one country and culture such as UK. But trying to eradicate abuse worldwide? Online? That’s naive to the point of being disingenuous. And I feel for the fans who do follow club social media, 99 being punished because of the one who ruins it for everyone basically although I’d have to add if Albion did this I’d probably not even be aware. So is it almost tokenism?
