Loosen my belt and pass me the gnome, I'm going. In the aforementioned noble vehicle with Wilko and Clipped. How the poor chaps are going to survive a trip to sheepland and back with me is a shuddering thought, I've got the conversational skills of a spoon. I'm also resigned to our beloved blue and white noggins taking a pasting straight up the gritter from ye Swans, but I've not seen their new ground yet and maybe it will exorcise some of the memories I have from the Vetch.

I thought their fans generated a fairly decent atmosphere last season, though they were winning at the time, and thought they were about to get into the play offs hahaha.

It's located, as per many new grounds, in the middle of an industrial estate, with lots of raised grass verges giving the Burberry-clad juvenile element of their support the perfect vantage point from which to moon your vehicle as you try to slink out of the city, minus three points.

And whatever you do, do NOT throw paper planes at fellow supporters, even Albion ones. The ever-vigilant stewards take a very dim view of this and may set the Heddlu on you.

Thanks Edna, the ground looks relatively salubrious to me, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There's always a sense of not quite belonging in shiny all-seater stadiums, I always feel like I've just gone into a Tory's lounge and shat on their cat, so there's a certain sense of justice when we get sent packing with nil points. Have a lovely time scuba diving.

I didn't mind the Liberty Stadium, seemed a tad better than one or two of the flat-pack new places (why do Leicester and Middlesbrough always spring to mind when you're thinking of soulless modern arenas?).

And frankly, once you've driven through Port Talbot, Swansea looks like Martha's Vineyard by comparison.

PS thanks, I will ;o)
