Just been reading the BBC and I'm surprised by his comments.

Thinks it ok for a 3rd club to pay a bonus to a team, say if Swansea played Wigan, west ham needed Wigan to lose to stay up, West Ham could pay swansea players a bonus to win.

Sounds far to close to match fixing to me.

I can't post a link but it's on BBC site.

Hardly match fixing. No different to your own club giving you a win bonus. It would match fixing if you were paying Wigan to lose the game.

Having said that, I don't agree with it.

It would never be allowed I would think under the 3rd party law.

But I think it's dodgy ground to get into.

It could change a game, man united went into a game eye on fa cup final would usually play there kids, but has this incentive of a pay packet, will change there thinking on a game.

Teams like city could ask teams to park the bus and play for a draw and offer huge financial rewards.

Far to dodgy ground.

But the club that would suffer (i.e. go down instead) would just put in a counter bonus offer so would ultimately be pointless.
