Last time I was in Brighton I loved it, sound of the sea on a lovely sunny morning, really felt like I was missing something being up here in the flattest place in the world. I think a few more years up here finishing a masters and then move back down south.

A person from Rottingdean calling Shoreham a shithole!thats the funniest thing i've heard this year:lolol: you obviously have never been to Shoreham so i will quietly laugh at you!:lolol:

Firstly, there's nowt wrong with Rottingdean - it's one of the few places in Sussex that actually has a working sanitation system by the looks of things. It also won the title of Prettiest Village in Sussex 2001 thanks to the excellent floral displays we have here. Shoreham on the other hand, is a boring, run down, decrepid industrial looking pisshole which has nothing going for it other then that eyesore of a tin chimney they have there now which looks even worse then that crumbling dildo they had before which was thankfully blown up. Shame they forgot to do the same with the rest of the town :D

ACTUALLY Danny that tinpot chimney is in SOUTHWICK so Shoreham rocks! they just call it Shoreham harbour 'cos people never know where Southwick is :D - Plus we've got an Airport & 20+ pubs & TWO McDonalds....we have virtually everything apart from a decent footy side so I tend to watch Southwick more often :)

All the more reason to hate it! :D

It seems very excessive to have 2 of those stupid burger places within one mile of each other especially when there is an Uncle Sams which is better by a mile.

Apart from that stop dissin' Shoreham it's the place to be - we have the Adur Civic Centre what more do you want ?

Shoreham is a dull shit 'ole face it.

I'm Worthing born and bred but cannot stand it now, a depressing druggie ridden hole.

I love Brighton though, and am proud of my sussex roots.

Great county. It's far from perfect, but then where is?

On the plus side are the Downs, the cliffs from Brighton to Eastbourne, some stunning scenery, some very attractive villages, the sea and proximity to London. And of course the Albion and Sussex cricket team.

On the minus side are the litter and winos in parts of Brighton, Newhaven, Hastings and Small Dole. Oh, and the bastards on the Council who are delaying Falmer.

Don't think Worthing is that bad it has though definitely gone down hill in the last 3 or 4 years, but still has plenty of nice houses etc, Crawley is without doubt the biggest hovel in the county although i think Brighton needs sorting out i blame it on London all Brighton seems to have got from that is sky high house prices and a load of stinking beggars.

Will see if i miss it soon moving 250 miles up North at the end of October.

Sussex is a great place to live in. There are very few places in this country that I would want to move to, with Bath & Nottingham being about it.

The garbage and pikeys in Brighton & Hove have made the place a bit of a dump, and the city council are utterly useless. Sort them out and it would be a much nicer place to be.

Lewes, Eastbourne, Chichester, Rye & Worthing are all nice towns to live in or visit. Crawley & Hastings are shit holes!

You can make where you live home for a while but as I found out after living in London and East Anglia if you are Sussex born and bred there is only one county to live in ......... Sussex by the Sea

I'm with Mr Kipling

God gives all men all earth to love,
But since man’s heart is small,
Ordains for each one spot shall prove
Beloved over all.
Each to his choice, and I rejoice
The lot has fallen to me
In a fair ground—in a fair ground—
Yea, Sussex by the sea!

Just to throw my tuppence in.

Rottingdean is a dickhole, nothing to it, i cannot stand it. All it is to me is a place on the way to my mates house in Peacehaven.

Shoreham is a lively place that has quite a lot going on.

Niether come close to the Hanover/Queens Park area of Brighton though, wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
