242-2

Trott 71* and Bell 42* tick along steadily... and reach their 100 partnership.

No jokes here.

decent wicket + top quality batting line-up - our best seamer = high probability of big first innings total

optimistic that we will be good enough to get out of this with a draw but going to be a tough 4 days

The only thing in our favour is the very slow scoring rate... 2.8 an over at present.

In the shadow of Seaford Head
It was a very hard day for our lads. 3 dropped catches including Trotters on 1. Harveys was on in the Jim Parks bar and the beer festival had some other local stuff alas Greene King available as well. Sun shone all day. Cannot get there today but hope to go Friday when Warks will have wrapped things up.

I'll be heading along today to watch in awe at Warks imperious progress, showing our boys just how this cricket thing is done.

Hardly a "festival" with Harveys on tap ? were they using that instead of water to rinse the glasses ?

Ambrose gone, good start. Forgot about Woakes though. Strong side Warks are.

Jordan on for another Michelle.

Jordan's renaissance since leaving Surrey is incredible. He's already bagged two 1st Innings Michelles in the Championship and he's on for a third. Prior to joining us he'd only ever taken a '5-for' twice in his career.

That said, the reason he takes so many wickets is that all of our other bowlers are sh1t.
