Oddly enough this is my first time following a CC game fully, so.. no. I'll readjust my expectations in line with a typical England innings.

he hey welcome.

A wise broadcaster once said you shouldn't judge how a game is going until you've seen both teams bat ... actually come to think of it, I think it was Boycott

Got to say, people will rightly blast Yorkshire's batting, especially having won the toss. But how good was our bowling?! Excellent captaincy and not afraid to rotate out of the attack (Crocombe) if not up to snuff.

Now we could really use a steady innings from Haines and Van Zyl in particular.

More disappointment from Sussex today.

Yorks win the toss, bat, and the Sussex attack start again with this line and length stuff.

I don't know why I bother. They'll be posting 400 next. Losing faith in this club.

Cricket is broken. Who do these little clubs think they are bowling out the might of an historic giant like THE Yorkshire?!

Someone needs to create a breakaway league for REAL clubs like Yorkshire, Lancashire, Surrey, Middlesex and Warwickshire. Maybe they can change the names of the sides too. And as thanks to Florentino Perez we now know that kids don't watch sport for long as they're too busy playing Fortnight and Call of Duty, maybe we should also reduce the game to something quick and simple like 100 balls a side or something?!

I've been on a Teams call all afternoon and come back to find the Yorkshire innings has been wrecked.

I've just seen the wickets on replay and there were some terrible shots being played but well done to the bowlers who generally kept things tight - which led to the desperate shots.

This pitch really doesn't like it's tricky - I can't believe that Yorkshire got out cheaply

Add in a couple of Australian, NZ, Indian and SA teams, and you've got a format worth going forward with.

The MASSIVE champions of EUROPE that are Yorkshire being put to the sword by the MINNOWS of Sussex

Waiting now for the inevitable bat-fliddery to follow - all out by close for 75

Every time I see a photo of Reece Topley grinning , after taking a wicket, I feel a strong desire to punch him in the face.
That is all.

I assume Crocombe went in as the night watchman but only lasted 3 balls, nevermind!

Yeah, a strange choice that. There were more than six overs to go when he went it, that's a big ask for a night watchman - especially one as hopeless with the bat as Crocombe. Still, no harm done.

Learning experience for sure.

Maybe but he looks like a proper ferret to me.

I think Carson may prove to be a handy tailender in the future though - never close to an all-rounder but one who can hold an end up.
