He really can't help it, Being old AND a Yorkshireman, he tends to open his mouth and, despite his age, manages to expertly insert his foot in it. I did hear that when his opinion was being ridiculed and criticised he did make an apology. I know it's probably too little and too late but I fear thats the best we could hope for from him.
