Magoffin bowled first ball... Sussex 260 all out, fall 11 short.

one who made 70* from 80 balls (8 fours and 1 six)

I really don't understand. Time is not a factor here. The batsman is well set and seeing the ball big. Decline the single first up, maybe the bowler will feel the pressure and bowl a pie second or third ball? Then, if you're going to pinch a single, do it in the second half of the over.

Not for the first time Sussex let down by poor batting. We need to find at least 2 competent county cricket standard batsmen 1 of which to come in at No 4 and hold the batting together and 1 to replace Joyce if he retires.

Just got home. A super game of cricket. 3 moments that shaped the final day. 2 by Dolly a superb throw in which ran Robbo out and then a sensational catch. Number 3 was Katy being hit where it hurts most. Not the same after that. He should have gone off to recover and come back as 11.

The most curious thing..

Plus a few more - most of them aren't up to scratch - Nash, Wells and Brown excepted. Bowling has possibilities but need a good spinner and depends how long Magoffin can last.
