Been out to the county ground this morning, Murray got put down by the wicket keeper a couple of balls prior to chasing a ball down leg and getting caught, almost gifting him a second chance. Raynor tryed cutting one and got caught in the slips. Lewry hit two smahing fours before the opening bowlers mopped up.
I heard Croft say to another fielder he expected a long day trying to dislodge us. Yardy dropped a catch in the slips of Lewry, thats 3 I have seen in this match.
Canot believe they are not playing, no rain and dry ground in BN2 near the level.
However much we did'nt strenghton we have the base of a championship winning side, would be great to get another opener in as it could keep us up. Throwing away wickets, run outs, dropped catches and wayward bowling are much more to blame for our poor season so far. All our wins are based on 500 plus first innings and then bowl sides out.
The North stand was pretty much full twice (20/2o) at £25 a pop it must generate some cash. Only a handful of people out there today.
