I disagree - Davis was the cheap option for a reason. He's just too quiet a guy - this team needs someone to put a rocket up their collective backsides and Davis is not the person to do that. He's a backroom figure and should have stayed in the background. I can accept that, being in a period of transition, we're not going to win every game, but the side are just so lack-lustre, devoid of competitiveness and clearly lacking in leadership. That's the coaches job along with the captain and it isn't working.

They need a proper batting coach for starters. There is literally no leadership and very little spirit, the fielding is sloppy, and even the start against Glamorgan with the no-balls was ridiculous. The 20/20 capitulation against Hampshire was nothing short of embarrassment.
I've heard so many times 'we have great youngsters', but so have many other counties.
The whole place is amateurish.
