Stuck in a wet Nottingham, where the news is Sidebottom has turned down a 2 year deal with Notts, lets hope we can get promoted and offer him a three year deal down on the sunny southcoast.
According to the Telegraph we've gone cold on Sidebottom because of his wage demands. £150,000 a season is the figure being quoted. I'm guessing that's why we've switched our attention to Khan? (Also mentioned in the Telegraph)

According to the forum Hodd's definetely going as well. Not sure about that at all, still have him in the team purely as a batsmen unless we've a big new signing
Well I hope he has better luck than Tim Ambrose. Just been dropped by Warwickshire for their latest game and apparently they aren't going to renew his contract. Bit of a fall from grace from someone who was playing for England not that long ago.

I can't see him lasting that long anyway. I'd rather have Khan on less money without the ego and a few more years in him

Sidebottom is an angry man and to have him and Panesar in the field would be ridiculous. Kham has proper pace and to have him and the consistency of Collymore would be a decent first up attack. I can't see Arafat staying really, he's just not taking the big wickets.

All Kent players are up for sale, Khan is either coming to us or Somerset, Stevens and Van Jaarsvelt rumoured to the Oval, Solanki is nailed on for Warwicks, idearse going to Lancs
Khan had knee problems and missed all 2007, has played all this season injury free, taken 39 wickets and it wasnt long ago he played for England.
Would be a good aquisition I feel, an opening bowler with real pace. Wouldnt mind Denly too if the wages were right

''The umpires have had another look and decided tea will be at 3.10 and they will inspect again at 3.30. Sun is trying to come out here and a patient crowd are confident we will see some cricket. Got to bowl first I reckon OL, bearing in mind that the pitch has been under cover for 48 hours''
