Was there from around 3PM in the cold and drizzle and watched Monty & Yas take their last two wickets and then a very impressive batting display from our openers although Derbyshire do look like a bit of a rabble (apparently some internal dissension hence Rogers not playing according to a Derby Member).

Of course the sun came out right at the end of the day - English weather eh?

Talking of which surely only the weather can stop Derby from being well & truely thumped, probably in 3 days....

A good performance from the Sussex wicketkeeper at the Oval as well!

Commentator's being a bit pessimistic - thinks we should be about 400 by end of day. I reckon we could be up there by lunchtime

So the plan will be bat out most of today and get a big score then declare with 30 mins to bowl at them tonight or go through till tomorrow and build a very impressive score, I would go for the declaration tonight.

In a season of lows, for a club with a special expertise in lows, this is really fookin hideous. Only we can make Joyce and Nash look like Hayden and Gilchrist...
