The coaching? And the batting. Not to mention the bowling.Totally agree. We've allowed the squad to stagnate a little, and there's far too much focus on the 20 over game. Perhaps stagnate isn't the right word. There's talent there, and new talent this season, but perhaps the coaching is lacking?
Absolutely, however the way we're playing at the moment I have serious doubts whether we'll win a single game. It's obviously a terrible result and a batting collapse against a team that had previously not mustered a single victory in the County Championship all season is unforgivable.
However, Sussex are still very much in with a chance of winning the County Championship. Only Yorkshire are above them and they are struggling in their 2nd innings against Warwickshire after allowing them a first innings lead when Warwickshire's 9th wicket pair put on 99 runs. Middlesex won and have a game in hand its true, as indeed do Yorkshire, but Sussex still have 6 games left to play. If they win 4 of those matches and draw the other 2, they will at least post a challenging points target. All is not lost yet.
Should we lose to the Dutch at Hove next Tuesday, It will be over a whole year since we won a competitive game of cricket at Hove. Last Hove win was against Warwickshire on the 15th August last season.
I know we've been awful at home, but didn't we beat Somerset at Hove early on in the season and have recently completed the double over them.

That win was at Horsham
