i feel our development team have gone backwards

It is a young side tonight; the starting 11 consisted of 6 scholars, 2 first-year pros, and just 3 young professionals (one of whom is actually, effectively, also a second-year scholar). And 2 of the subs brought on were also scholars, with the 3rd being an U-16 player.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact our best youngsters arent playing for the DS now that they are in the first team squad ?

Havent gone backwards, forwards if anything as DS players are featuring for the first team.

Monakana looked very good in the first half. We played the ball around very well.

They scored a good goal before the first half, then really pushed on us early in the second. The rain made the pitch heavy and we struggled to play the ball around in the same way. Disappointing to throw away two leads.

Yes he has been playing well, their was a DS person on crutches watching the game from the club end, looked like he may have had blonde hair but I didn't catch who it was. Hopefully they or if it was him they recover quickly.

Its more likely we have three big games coming up quickly, starting on Monday at home to Bristol City if we win those and Cardiff slip up, we have to play them away near the end of the season. So its about rotation for thew cup game.
