So in the 4 years since 2010 our honours board has not been added to and the best we can boast is Losing Semi Finalists Twenty/20 Cup 2012 ? I think across 4 years and four competitons each season, that is a truely shitty record.

Wonderful short sighted post.
The four years you mention have three trophies per season, so in total, 12 trophies could have gone into our cabinet.
There are 18 counties fighting for those trophies, I wont include Ireland, Scotland, Holland or the ECB mixed bag team who took part one year.

They have been won 7 seperate teams.
Hampshire won 3 trophies
Warwickshire won 3 trophies
Nottinghanshire won 2 trophies.
Lancs, Durham, Surrey and Northants won 1 trophey each

That leaves according to your criteria, 11 counties with truely shitty records.
Also, notice that of those seven ttitle winning teams, six of them are test playing grounds, in fact all the counties that own test grounds won trophies.

This, IMHO, goes to prove, that if you have enough cash, you can purchase the best players and win the most titles.

Joyce batted beautifully today, a real master class. Highlight was when Jimmy Anderson was trying to upset him with bouncers, two succesive balls went over the slips via deft intended deflections then as Jimmy boiled over, the next bouncer went over Ed and Buttler behind and went for four byes.

.

Or in fact 24 chances of being fiirst or runner up. I would have accepted a couple of those over the last four years at least.

Great stuff. I bet Ed had a little smile at that.

We finished 3rd in CC Div1 last year and 4th the year before. For a club with our budget and without a test ground that's pretty good.

Thanks Keaton, somebody who can see sense.
That would be 3rd above 15 other counties, at least 6 of them with test match grounds and much bigger budgets.

Another batting point secured.

7/354

They'll need to get a wriggle on if they want another: 46 runs required in 8 overs...
