Classic case of being dead easy to smash sixes all over the park, but very hard to play.
This. One of those pitches where it is easy to hit boundaries, but hard to push singles.

Seems you misunderstand.
There's a very big difference between simply trying to stay around. You'll get a bad bounce or one that sticks in the pitch and you'll be gone.
Whereas, take the attack to the bowlers and it's actually a wicket you can accumulate quickly on.

Would be good for 20/20.

Sussex will need to bear that in mind when we come in again to clear the deficit

Yep, Parky and Abbas have top scores of 74 and 40 respectively. I expect them to challenge that today.
Excellent prediction. Who will get to their PB first...?

So, who would enforce the follow on, and who wouldn't?

Breaking news.

Angry scenes in the pavilion. Sussex players queuing up for their tea but Cosgrove has taken all the sausage rolls and pizza slices.

Early tea taken with no play as yet today at Canterbury. Weather looks set fair for tomorrow and Friday unfortunately, but distinctly iffy for the remainder of today.

Sussex bat again.

Surprised but assume it is the right call.

Obviously don't want to risk having to bat last but not 100% clear why. Could be to do with pitch.

Good job Rob Key's not commentating ..

Away from Sussex, I see that Somerset are 29-5 chasing 78, that's just bonkers.

Can't need more than 100 runs shirley - maybe 150 if you are conservative. Whatever the score is declare 30 minutes before the end and get Archer & Robinson at them.
