I think it is an insult to supporters that on top of losing players to crap hundred they then on top of that rest established players

Commentary team were saying that Glamorgan have lost fewer players to the Hundred than any other county which is one reason why they are top of the table.

Farbrace said in an interview pre-season that the 50 over cup was low on our priorities, I was surprised at time not more was made of his points

I think the 50 over cup is explicitly intended as a development competition, so this doesn't surprise me

That said, it is annoying to go to an individual game and get charged the same money on the gate as I would for a match between full strength sides, to watch something that we all know isn't as high a standard.

From the cricketer, 2019: “ Gordon Hollins, the ECB’s new county cricket managing director, has admitted the Royal London One-Day Cup will be relegated to a “development competition” from 2020 onwards.”

So, yes, entry should be £10 max imo. (tbf Sussex have offered a decent bundle deal this year ……for those who have the time and inclination to go to all the games).

The Hundred is indeed crap. It is a double edged sword though as it provides revenue for the counties though. If it was ditched some counties might not to survive.

As for resting players - Simpson absolutely.
Everyone one else - no.
Crocombe - he’s bowled 30 first team overs all season. Wtf.

It has been great to see so many counties using their outgrounds for this - albeit they probably have to because their primary grounds are full of snack based Hundred franchise advertising.

Would be good if Sussex started using Arundel, Horsham and Eastbourne again or maybe somewhere else where there are good facilities - Hurst College, Christs Hospital, etc.

...oh, and Glamorgan are 99/4 off 17.1 overs in reply. Bit like the Sussex innings - good start and then lost a few quick wickets.

107/5 off 19.3 - Bertie Foreman with the wicket. Sussex ahead on DLS and potential for rain according to the commentary

would love this.

When I was young my dad would always take me to all the outgrounds especially in the summer holidays. Eastbourne, Horsham and Arundel of course and not forgetting a short stint at Hastings

Raining now and DLS is tight. Just realised that the guest Glamorgan commentator from their coaching staff is ex-Albion keeper Mark Walton!

I don't know why Sussex stopped playing at Arundel in particular, I think most people thought matches there were one of the highlights of the cricket season.

Durham (who obviously don't host a Hundred team because reasons) are playing a game up in Newcastle on Friday which I'm hoping to go to. I'll admit that the increased number of outground games is a benefit from the Hundred even if I think counties should be doing it anyway.

Both Bertie and Archie bowled well.

Sounds like a match report from 1926
