150 up for Simpson. Sussex gone from 34-3 carnage to a highly competitive 353-7.

Some good bowling is responsible for the early wickets looking back at the footage. Alsop was done by a very good nut.

Great to see the Sussex lads going so well this season.
From a purely selfish pov, the Academy took a solid win at Blackstone as well yesterday. Incredibly proud of my lad - getting his 3rd century for the club, and going 8.4 for 32, & 2 wickets with the ball.

His name sounds like a 1920s English stalwart. A former WWI hero turned Sussex all-rounder.

Thanks for sharing the picture you took before the game:

Solid win??!

That's an absolute shellacking!

Top knock from your lad there - he wasn't hanging about

He was off to Paris for a few days last night - probably just wanted to get home quick and pack!
He also batted the entire innings with cramp, so couldn't run much - hence the glut of 4s etc! Grubby wanted to take him off when he got to 86 n/o but he refused 😆

49-3. Can they match our recovery from losing three early wickets…?
