Priority this season is promotion to Div 1 in the 4 day format and building a squad of players that also gain more experience of the white ball game.

Bopara was the top earner at the club and that was only a white ball contract.

Orr wanted a £100k contract (was never going to happen) and went the wrong way about it. Farbs tried playing his bluff and underestimated Hampshire’s desire to sign him. (And the money they were prepared to pay)

Everyone has to trust in the process. Get us back into Division One of the Championship and then look to focus and invest a bit more in the shorter format of the game.

Expect to see revenue streams and the commercial side of the club move forward (massively) in the next 12 months and in turn allowing the club to further invest on the pitch.

Peter Fitzboydon (CEO) has been a real breath of fresh air and is laying the foundations for some massive step change at the club.

Dreadful? There’ll be worse days to come. I thought we were the sum of our parts today.
It's about time we had a reality check, good to get back to normal with today's result. Its the hope that kills you.

Ooo this sounds exciting. Please tell what these revenue streams and commercial activities might be.

In what way has the new CEO been a breath of fresh air? Is it just that he’s better than the last one? As a member of many years I must say I’ve not seen a CEO with a lower profile. I could sit next to him on the bus and not know who he is.

I’d be quite happy to stink the place out in the Blast and the One Day cup in exchange for red ball promotion

And if we can pick up the odd comedy result along the way (e.g. beating Surrey last year) then all the better.

Expect to see a ‘prime’ location in central Hove utilised for 12 months a year rather than the current 4 months it is.

The new CEO is a business man, someone that previously has gone in and turned around under performing businesses and quickly. He won’t be a prominent match day figure like Rob Andrew, he will quietly doing his work behind the scenes, very much focusing on the important stuff off the pitch to enable the club to progress.

The club have also just recruited a commercial guy that was at Liverpool FC with a clear remit to maximise the commercial opportunities the club has somewhat neglected the past couple of years.

Seriously exciting times at the club, for the first time in a long time we have a CEO that has seen the huge potential the club has and isn’t afraid to ruffle a few feathers to get it to where it needs to be.

Agreed the batting line up looks very light. We're playing only 5 specialist batsmen and that includes Carter (a wicketkeeper), Hudson-Prentice who I thought was an all-rounder, and Coles who bowled four overs today. Too many bowlers, perhaps because we haven't got anyone else decent enough as a batsman. Surely it would be worth trying Haines or Ward.

Is this why ticket prices have jumped up quite a bit?

Blast sales and marketing were in place prior to him joining.

Fair to say you’ll see a different approach going forward.

Talks of a link up with the Albion will no doubt help with this and the numbers through the gates.

Fair enough. Fingers crossed.

Currently £32.50 for a blast match which seems a little steep to me but I could be being tight!

£20 for the one day stuff seems much better value.

I must recieve 8 plus emails /texts about 20/20 tickets but none about 4 day game. Seems no interest in marketing this although doesnt help games played when it is cold. Interesting that 20/20 games are no longer selling out Surprised to see so many spaces at Glamorgan today

cant understand why Haines isn’t in the squad. He is very well suited to T20.
Ward should have played to give the powerplay a kick up the arse. A quick 20 or 30 would have been useful.
To an extent though, it’s rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic. We don’t have the quality of players that most of the other counties have.
Today was concerning because we got outplayed by a small fry county despite not playing that badly - or to put it another way, that line up could perform a lot worse.
I fear for us on Friday, although T20 is so entertaining that even when we get battered it’s a decent watch
