That’s just weird.
At 38/0 after 5.1 overs, how right you were.4 slips in place. Plenty of gaps for our lads to get off to a bit of a flier.
Why are you still watching?Interesting that they just mentioned having to get used to the slope down the pitch at Hove.
You'd think it'd help playing at a ground with a similar slope. Like, I don't know, Headingley for example.
Now I'm worried that if I stop watching the jinx will strike again. Why are you still watching?
Maybe you should just commit to watching until another wicket falls? Now I'm worried that if I stop watching the jinx will strike again.
Thought I was off the hook then for a couple of seconds.Maybe you should just commit to watching until another wicket falls?
Because he's sloooowwwww.Why has Ben Coad never been considered for international duty ?
No offence meant, but can you please request a voluntary thread ban?Thought I was off the hook then for a couple of seconds.
I know more catches are dropped than most people would think, but I still think Root's some way short of the top tier of slip catchers. Even in this Yorkshire XI I'd think Lyth's a better slip fielder.
Edit: I didn't expect my point to be illustrated quite that quickly.
. Will we get dismissed by 10 slip catches? Very tricky batting morning against moving ball with enough carry in pitch. No offence meant, but can you please request a voluntary thread ban?
I'm expecting us to lose Pujara this summer. The England selectors can't really overlook him now.Because he's sloooowwwww.
Seriously though, the role he'd play in a bowling attack you'd have him up against Anderson and Woakes (and numerous other 80-ish mile an hour bowlers) over the last decade or so, and with the best will in the world you'd never pick him over Anderson or Woakes.
