I think we're quite decent at red ball. Let's see how we go now that we have two overseas quicks (maybe not quite Imran and Le Roux).

T20 is just mickey mouse anyway.
I liked us replacing Pujara with a bowler. It’s an aggressive move that will hopefully turn some of those many draws into positive results.

At 142/6 it wasn’t looking so good, esp with Orr also out for a while. Deffo needed a strike bowler though so tomorrow will be interesting.

Having pujara around gives the batsmen something to hide behind. We will find out more about their characters over the next few weeks.
I’m thinking Clark , ibrahim, fhp.
Also , what’s going on with Alsop? He’s gone from mr dependable to walking wicket .

We've got one or two in this match:

Shipley
Karvelas
McAndrew

All very capable on their day.

I'm a bit late to this thread following our poor T20 Blast displays.
However, after 6 Championship games we are 2nd in the table, on course for promotion and currently our youngsters are 338/9 against Worcestershire, playing without our star batsman.
A lot to feel positive about.

Agreed. Let’s see where we are this time tomorrow. Our issue in the Cc this season has been failing to polish teams off. We mustn’t let their batsmen settle otherwise we could be facing a big score.

Just joined the stream to catch the first ball. Have they said why the floodlights are on as it can't be that gloomy at Hove surely?

"Bradders" from Worcester Radio is some sort of Alan Partridge / Frank Doberman hybrid.

His chat with Ariana this morning was pure Partridge. Him and Harms had just finished talking to Ali Orr about this injury and other Sussex players who were injured. Harms then handed over to Ariana at which point Bradders said "nice to have a fit Sussex player to talk to", then realised how this might have been interpreted so followed up with a hasty "I mean fit as in not injured,not..." and then she rescued him by saying that she isn't injured but also doesn't play for Sussex!

Need a decent captain, we seem to drift through games at times. Need a spiky bloke to shake them up.

He followed it up by offering to "stand naked on Brighton Pier" if Libby went to a hundred in the grand manner...!

In a great session for him, he made another reference to wokeism and also talked us through his village cricket batting achievements...

What did Orr say about his injury?
