Maybe it is harsh. But either way they're not good enough for country cricket right now. Some of the very young ones are good but Atkins, crocombe etc are not county players in my eyes. Two or three in the team would make sense, but you've basically got 6 or 7 who are u21 and not experienced enough. Perhaps if the county didnt only recruit from three schools they might have more success? I wonder where the team that sussex fielded in the last match would finish in the sussex prem?I think thats a little harsh on the youngsters when they've barely started their careers. There are some very good players out there but, for whatever reason, its just not happening for them right now. I have my own opinions on what some of the problems are - but I wont be sharing them on a public forum, understandably.
Didn't someone say a while ago that the club arent skint either?, and that they actually have a healthy amount to fall back on?
Rob Andrew is firmly in the crosshairs for me. Wherever he's gone has turned to rubble. I feel for Farbrace. He's trying to play a concert with only a few musicians...
My understanding of the situation was the club are skint until the money from the redevelopment starts flowing. But I wouldnt take that as gospel
