Nothing to do with SCCC but didn’t want to start a new thread…

Amazing scenes in the WC qualifying tournament.

Netherlands take Windies to a super over, Up steps Logan van Beek to takeJason Holder for THIRTY! Not content with that, he then takes the ball, and ends it with two wickets in the first 5 balls. Wow.

Hopefully Adrian can persuade Glamorgan to dangle the carrot...

I watched the highlights of that at lunchtime and very nearly did start a new thread on it! Incredible scenes. WI with 2 wins and 2 defeats limp into Super Six.

Well done to NEDs. But what the hell has happened to Windies cricket ?

I've heard the kids play basketball and stuff these days, but this is really sad. I want the old Windies back.

And Haines is the one guy that we hoped could stay all day, we'll be very lucky to salvage a draw. Someone will have to score a daddy hundred to get out of this and I'm not sure who can do that

Maybe the Haines of previous seasons . He hasn’t looked convincing for a while now and was a walking wicket tonight .
If we get trounced tomorrow it will be a big step backwards . our batters effectively saying they can’t cope without pujara propping them up. That would be disappointing as they stepped out of his shadow when he was first unavailable.

They’ve placed a lot of trust in Coles and seem to be grooming him for captaincy. he needs to repay that by not giving it away again.

Really , only a combination of an alsop vigil and the rain can save us .

I can live with them losing , it’s the feeble way they give it away that grates.

McAndrew went in at 5. Him and Coles weren't trying to block out for the draw.
