Another good day for Sussex players. Ollie's four-for in the test and a win for England's U19s with Dan Ibrahim top-scoring with a ton and a four-for for James Coles (who's had a very good tour)

Duck for Pujara

Lyon has 4 for 10 off of 20 overs and probably isn't complanning about the pitch.

Got an email from the club this morning advertising free tickets for day 2 of 4 against Durham on Good Friday if any non-member peasants like myself are interested.

Cheshire Cat

It will be FREEZING and probably raining.

At least you can take your own flask in to the County Ground

At least Pujara can rest assured that no bowler in the CC 2nd division. nor any pitch, will serve up the jaffiest jaffa that he got today,

An absolute brute of a ball

Whilst feeling most satisfied at the Albion's season, there seems to be something easily unnoticed. The cricket season is soon to be underway.

Yes, as unbelievable as it sounds, the friendlies start on Thursday at the hallowed County Ground. Our mates from Surrey and Hampshire are due.

So, winter woolies for those who go. And bless-ed are those who love bat 'n ball as well as footie.

The seasons never end.

Let the glory, the despair, the whinging and the adulation commence. Often all four in the space of a session.

Can't wait to listen to Adrian Hames again. The sound of the English summer. Good interview with Ollie Robinson the other night as well.

He's great is Adrian. Although he really should be doing the late evening show that older folk ring in to. Talking about things like flower arranging and all the mudaine daily tasks with such enthusiasm.

I jest not, I have listened to those shows whilst working late in the evening and often though how lonely and isolated folk might take so much from them. The BBC doing its public service.

Although my noodles seem to think he may have once done it.

Good Friday is ‘sold’ out now. Imagine a lot of tickets will go unused though.

Tempted to head down there now although unsure if it’s going ahead

You’d think the clubs official Twitter would be a bit more up to date.

Nice interview with Nasher in the latest issue of County Cricket Matters He talks about the great team spirit and the atmosphere at the club between 2004 and 2014 - with the obvious implication that there was a lack of it after that.

I'd like to think we're bouncing back, it's certainly encouraging to hear Ollie say that he wants to play more Championship cricket this year

I feel we are at least one batsman short (Apart from Smith’s spell).
A fair few young players were given a good go last season. They need to take it on in 2023 like Clark did to an extent last year, and Haines the year before.
I expect it will be another transition season towards the middle/lower reaches of the table.
