To be fair to the England selectors (which isn't something I find myself thinking all that often), for most of the time England weren't picking him they were going for Anderson and Broad, one or other of Woakes and Sam Curran, and not losing any home series for about 3 years.I've said it for four years, and don't get mocked so much now. Robinson is England's answer to Glen McGrath. He is as good as. To think they used to say he wasn't 'fast enough'. Good job the Aussies didn't think that of McGrath. Ollie was selected two years later than he should have been, due to the Old Boy's Club.
As for today, big centuries from the top order please, golden quack for Smith.
I'm more interested and annoyed by why it took him finally getting picked for England for for anybody to mention that improving his fitness might be a good idea.
