Pujara 2 scoring shots from 50 balls

One for the purists.

I'm going for a pint.

Blimey - down on page 4!

Anyway most of yesterday rained off, Sussex 90-2 but weather looks a bit shit for the next 2 days so yet another weather affected draw in April, well done the ECB...
Every time I checked there was another inspection so had forgotten about this after a while.

302-4, Pujara has to sleep on a 99 not out!

On the other hand he can reflect that he only needs 62 runs for his 19K.

Has any side ever batted in their first innings on all 4 days ? :ROFLMAO:
I reckon it may have happened in wash outs. The hope then being for an innings forfeit on the fourth day to get a result.

I think Goodwin was classed as overseas even though he had stopped playing for Zimbabwe. He was also playing for WA. Him and Mushy would have been the overseas pairing. Has to rank amongst the best combo a Championship winning county has ever had. I can only really think of Rice and Hadlee as better.

That was some team, you add in Chris Adams, James Kirtley, Jason Lewry, Robin Martin-Jenkins and Matt Prior and it is no wonder we mostly thumped everyone from 2005 onwards. Mushy was the catalyst of course.

Monty opening the batting, Mark Davis with his gentle off breaks… loved that team.

I think did at first not for most of it. Sure he wasn't overseas when we had Mushy and Saqlain

Goodwin started as an overseas player, then signed a kolpak deal in 2005
We had a few different overseas players with Mushy after that, Yasir Arafat sticks in my mind since he played in the 2006 c&g final.
