I don't know if it's still the case post-Brexit but I am pretty sure that EU players didn't count as an overseas or Kolpak player. The Irish players don't count as overseas do they?

Ireland is different: the Irish are treated as British when it comes to employment (and vice versa in Ireland)
EU passport holders are now treated as overseas players

Robin Marlar has passed away
Pretty sure I met him at a function but can't remember where.
Opinionated, disagreeable, yet intelligent, knowledgeable and most importantly he bled Sussex CCC in his heart and wore it on his sleeve. He was Sussex.
RIP
Rawlins signs a new contract.
Karvelas signs.
Club statement is Not clear if it’s as a domestic or overseas.
Big difference.
As a domestic - hoorah
As an overseas - oh dear
It’s either a modest step forward or a significant step back.
I think it's domestic. He was an MCC Young Cricketer at one stage.
Anyone know what’s going on?
Salisbury’s left (did he jump, was he pushed?) for non cricketing reasons
Kirtley is rumoured to have gone
The decision to appoint joint head coaches as the way forward has now been reversed as we advertise for a single Head Coach
We extend Rawlins’ contract and sign Karvalas on with no input from the yet to be appointed Head Coach - or do they know who the new Head Coach is already?
Andrew and Greenfield have held senior positions throughout our demise, and other than phase 1 of the ground improvements (apartments) there seems to be little other than wishful thinking for the further phases. Perhaps their roles should be challenged.
Have we become a club where players see out their last few years and get good medical treatment, youngsters moving from youth to senior cricket are given a try, and anyone any good joins Hants or Surrey?
Perhaps Adams, Cottey, Gould (and Prior) will shake things up, or are they too resigned to the club not being around in 10 years?
Depressing.
Adams and Prior have said on Twitter they want nothing to do with it whilst Greenfield and Andrew are at the helm

Annual Central Contracts for Jofra and Robbo for year commencing 1/10/22
Which is good income for Sussex.
I find the whole Adams, and even more so Prior, thing, very strange. They are just two former players / staff of the club, with no more relevance than any other - yet are forever opining on all aspects, and given a weird level of attention.
If they want to get involved, apply for the jobs. If they don't, just shut the **** up.
If Dean Wilkins and Peter Brezovan were giving their opinion every day on the Albion, would people be in thrall to them, begging for their thoughts, and demanding they ride back in to save us all?
